History:

Carrie's younger brother and sister and Carrie, herself, were raised as military brats by their Christian parents, and Carrie was saved at a young age after an AWANAS meeting.  Preparing her for a life on the run, they moved all over until her dad retired to his parents' farm the summer Carrie turned 12.  She graduated from Newnan High School in 2002 and packed up for Rome, GA, to get herself an education at Berry College.  After a God ordained meeting with Brody Holloway and some of the SWO crew at a Bebo Norman/Jeremy Camp concert, Carrie put aside her high maintenance tendencies and worked the '03, '04, '05, and '06 summers at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters where God totally shifted her mind set, and she really began to see the importance of having a relationship with Christ versus a religion. Back at school after many major changes and future plan changes, she settled on a Spanish and English degree with a concentration in creative writing.  She also spent four months in Seville, Spain, studying abroad and left part of her heart there.  She graduated in December 2005.

Carrie was married in 2007.

Strategy:

Carrie was training with the International Mission Board (www.imb.org) from October 24 to December 14, 2007, after which she headed out to southern Spain with Extremadura (www.prayextremadura.com).  There she was enrolled as a visiting student at a university where her basic job description was be to be the typical college student and live Christ out in front of the friends that she made.  She lived in a Spanish dorm with Spanish roommates and also helped out at the local church.  Teammates included Chris, Cathie, and Becca.
